OLG Reaches CAD 43.6 Million in Payments to Ontario Municipalities in Q1 2025

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced Q1 payments totaling CAD 43,634,211 to 29 municipalities that host land-based gaming facilities (covering April to June 2025). This represents a significant increase from the CAD 27.3 million paid in Q4 of fiscal 2024–25.
These contributions come as part of a structured revenue-sharing mechanism tied to slot machine, table game, and sportsbook earnings at host venues. Municipalities receive a tiered percentage of revenue—ranging from 5.25% on initial earnings to incremental lower rates as amounts rise—plus shares of non-slot income when relevant.
Community leaders underline that these funds support essential local services from infrastructure to education, with casino-hosting regions benefiting visibly. OLG’s continued success and expansion in online channels are reinforcing its ability to boost local economies across Ontario
