Overview

You thought slots can’t surprise you? Think you’ve seen it all? Think again, as Revolver has introduced its ‘Space Traders.’ And this machine doesn’t even slightest resemble any other slot in the market.

Trust us; you have never seen anything like it. ‘Space Traders’ is a nine-reeler. Yes, you have heard it right. There are nine reels and no pay lines at all. But don’t expect to see some huge 9x3 play grid. ‘Space Traders’ has a compact 3x3 grid. So each stop is an individual spinning reel. Looks rather awesome actually.

This amazing grid is set against an elaborate and detailed background. You see the vast space, some stars glowing faintly in the distance. Closer to you, in the lower part of the screen there is a planet with the moon orbiting it. The design is strikingly detailed and rich in color and the animation is gorgeous. Even sound effects are extremely impressive: they imitate the sounds of laser beams and the noise of working starships’ engines. All these create some wonderful psi-phi atmosphere, and the overall quality of the game is of a top-notch 3D slot machine.

But how to win at ‘Space Traders’? Well, it’s pretty much the same as at any other slot. There are tiles that form combos, landing a combo is paid according to the pay table. Of course, when you have nine reels you can’t have regular combos from three to five. Instead, you are having combos from three to nine.

There are 10 authentic pay symbols. All the tiles are designed in sync with the major theme of the slot, and also with plenty of humor. They look somewhat cartoonish and gorgeous at the same time. Truly 5-star experience.

As the pay table is progressive, there is no need for you to do any calculations on your own. Just set the bet and look the payouts up in the pay table. Here, we’ll give you examples of the payouts for the minimal stake. The most expensive tile of the slot is a tile with its logo. The max set of nine is paid 50.00. Then, there goes Queen Bea, which is worth 30.00 for nine tiles set. Handy Max and Sam the Robot tiles are paid 25.00 each for nine of a kind. A tile with a Rocket orbiting a Green Planet is paid 15.00 for the max combo. The tile with a Pot full of gemstones is paid 10.00 for the max combo. Then, there are three tiles with different planets on them. First, a Planet with a bank on it. The other one is a Planet/junkyard full of old cars. And the last one is a junkyard full of broken home appliances. The set of nine planets are paid 7.50, 5.00 and 4.00 respectively. The last symbol is an empty crater-covered satellite. It’s the cheapest icon of the slot. Nine of a kind are paid 3.00. Mind, the last four tiles are not paid for the set of three, the minimal combo for them is the set of four.

There are no scatters in the game. Instead, any symbol may become a scatter. How does it work? Prior to every spin a special symbol is chosen. It is introduced to you by Sam on the screen right next to the reels. The tile is different for every spin. If you hit the combination of at least three special tiles on the grid, then the combination is locked and the rest of the reels re-spin. When the special tiles get locked, your win gets doubled. But of course, they are void of pay as standard tiles when they are chosen as a special icon.

Special symbol changes with every spin, but there is one scatter tile that stays the same. It’s the bonus tile. It’s a tile signed ‘Space junk’ and ‘Bonus’, so it’s hard to miss. Hit three of those and you will trigger the bonus game. It’s an interactive feature game. The new window will open, and you will find yourself in front of the counter in a company of Queen Bea and Handy Max. On the counter there will be five items of space junk. Each object may be worth anywhere from 5 to 800 bonus credits. But the price is hidden. The goal is to choose the most expensive items. You are given three tries. After your choice is made, the value of the items will be multiplied by the bet multiplier and then the total sum will be multiplied by the bonus multiplier. This final sum will be added to your account. The bonus multiplier depends on the number of bonus tiles that triggered the bonus game. If you hit three tiles, then it will be 1x. If you landed as many as nine tiles to trigger the bonus round, then the multiplier will be 20x.

So, how to play ‘Space Traders’? First, you have to decide on the bet. The minimum wager here is 0.09. The maximum is 225.00. To fix the bet size, use the ‘Plus’ and ‘Minus’ buttons at the bottom of the screen. There is also a ‘Max Bet’ button. Press it to set the spin wager to 225.00 automatically. As you can see, the betting range is very vast. Both high-rollers and players with smaller bankrolls will be happy with the ‘Space Traders’ options. Remember, as all the wins here are scatter wins, the more you stake the more you win. Spinning may be done automatically or manually. The help section is awesome here, all the rules are given in full details, the pay tables are precise and hustle-free. There is even a history section, if you are having questions or doubts feel free to use it.

To say that we liked ‘Space Traders’ would be an understatement. It’s mind-blowing. Its design is cream of the cream, and the gameplay is nothing we have experienced before. We’d say, it’s definitely worth a try just for the sake of new experience. But bet carefully, this unusual system may get you so involved you’d spend more than you had intended to. Remember, behind the state-of-the-art design and the overall gambling excitement there is an RTP and here it is more than moderate, just 95.99%.
