Overview

How about to relive one of the most romantic love stories in the world once again? It has everything anyone needs: a beautiful lady in distress, a prince charming, a poisonous apple, an evil queen and a bunch of dwarfs. Today, we are dealing with a Betsoft machine ‘Snow White & the Poisonous Apple.’ Let’s see, is there anything to surprise us?

At first sight, nothing strikes at ‘Snow White.’ It’s a standard five reels slot with standard three lines. There are 25 pay lines. So the gameplay here is classic: choose lines, bet and land combos to win. Betting here is simple, there is only one coin you may wager on one line. The coin can be worth anywhere from 0.01 to 5.00. Thus, the total bet may start as low as 0.01 and go all the way up to 125.00 per spin.

As for the combinations, all the regular symbols’ ones have to start on the first reel. Scatter combos are paid any way, so this rule doesn’t apply to them. As for the tiles, they are partially taken from cards. Thus, we have the 9s and the10s. Five-tiles combo of either of those will be worth 100x the bet. For five Jacks, Queens or Kings, you will be paid 150x the wager. And the Aces are worth 250x the line stake for the set of five.

The rest of the tiles are themed. We get a tile with a Witch worth 500x the bet for five. The Evil Queen and the Prince Charming are both worth 750x the stake for five of a kind. A tile with a Snow White is paid 1,000x the bet for the maximum combo.

The design of the tiles is pretty ordinary. The Betsoft crew chose some juicy graphics, in simple but vibrant colors. The animation is rather average. It’s solid but doesn’t strike you as something top-notch. Card tiles design is pretty straightforward, to sync them with the main theme of the game, they just put some dwarfs on them. So we got a set of tiles with numbers and dwarfs. Snow Whitish, in a way.

There are some scatter tiles of course. The Scatter here is a tile with a Castle signed ‘Bonus.’ It may act as a regular pay tile. The only difference will be that it forms minimum two-tile combos, instead of three-tile combos. Of course, such a tiny combo doesn’t have big payouts. Here, it only doubles the wager. But the max set of five offers a 50x the wager raise. Which is pretty substantial. Don’t forget, scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet instead of a line wager, so those may be some great payouts.

At the ‘Snow White’ slot, scatters initiate free games. To get your 10 spins on the house you need to land at least three scatter icons on the reels. The feature may be retriggered. The rest of the bonus features may be triggered while free-spinning. The bet stays fixed for the spins, but all the wins here come with a doubling multiplier.

The Wild is an icon with an Apple. As usual, it substitutes for any missing symbol in a winning combination. What’s more, it also may act as an ordinary pay symbol. The minimal combo here is only two tiles of a kind. This combo is worth 2x the wager. For the tops combo of five, the multiplier will be 1,500.

But there are more special features to come. Here, at ‘Snow White’ there are some nifty perks to profit on. First, there is a Mirror Multiplier. It’s triggered randomly at the beginning of any spin. So your spin wins may be multiplied by a 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x. The feature doesn’t apply to free games, but applies to Apple Pick and Cave Wilds features.

Apple Pick is a variant of an interactive feature game. It’s awarded randomly. You may activate the feature after basically any spin. It’s a simple pick-me-game. You will see three apples over the reel screen. All you have to do is pick one and collect some bonus points if any.

The last feature of the machine is Cave Wilds. This one is also awarded randomly, at the end of any spin after the pay. When it’s initiated, all the Scatters on your reels turn into Wilds. There may be up to three added Wilds. The feature can be triggered up to three times. The wins are paid after each trigger.

There is only one more thing we haven’t mentioned yet. But it’s awesome, it’s been worth waiting for. The ‘Snow White’ slot features a progressive jackpot. It’s random and may be triggered on any spin. At the moment it’s worth about 52.6K.

Guess, by now it’s pretty obvious that there are plenty of bonus features here at ‘Snow White and the Poisonous Apple’ slot. Even though the regular payouts are rather moderate, you may always win some more with those special features. At our test drive, we didn’t trigger any bonus features, but the slot seems pretty hot. What’s more, the gameplay here suits gamblers with different bankrolls. Though Betsoft doesn’t reveal the RTP for the slot, it may be worth spinning it. Bonuses and especially the Progressive look very promising.
